CarePal Pets: The Free Android App That Keeps Your Pet's Health Perfectly Organized
If you have a pet, you already know how quickly the details pile up. When was the last vaccination? Is the flea treatment due this month or next? How much did that vet visit actually cost? Most pet owners keep this information scattered across messages, paper notes, and memory — until something gets forgotten.
That's exactly the problem I wanted to solve when I built CarePal Pets. It's a free Android app that puts everything related to your pet's care in one simple, organized place — events, reminders, medical history, and expenses — all structured around each individual pet.

CarePal Pets is a pet care organizer designed for everyday pet owners. Whether you have one dog or multiple cats, a rabbit, a bird, or any other animal — you can create a profile for each one and track everything that matters for their health and wellbeing.
The app is built around a simple idea: every pet deserves their own space. Instead of mixing everything together, CarePal Pets keeps each animal's events, appointments, and expenses completely separate — so you always know exactly what's happening for each one.

📅 Smart Reminders & Events
The heart of CarePal Pets is its event and reminder system. You can schedule any kind of pet care event — vet appointments, vaccinations, grooming sessions, medication doses, check-ups, baths, and more. For each event you can set a notification to go off 5 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, or even 1 week before. That means no more last-minute panic when you realize a vet appointment is today.
Creating an event is quick: give it a title, assign it to a pet, add a cost if there is one, set the date and time, and choose your reminder. Done in under 30 seconds.
🔄 Recurring Events — Set It Once, Forget It
This is one of the features pet owners love most. If your pet takes medication every day, needs a flea treatment every month, or has an annual vaccination — you don't have to create that event over and over again. Set it once as a recurring event and CarePal Pets handles the rest automatically.
You can configure events to repeat hourly, daily, monthly, or yearly — and set an end date or a maximum number of repetitions. Edit one occurrence and all future repetitions update automatically. It's the kind of small detail that saves a lot of time and mental energy over weeks and months.
🐶🐱 Per-Pet Profiles
Each of your pets gets their own profile with their name, age, and a dedicated timeline of events. When you open an animal's profile you can switch between the Upcoming tab — which shows everything scheduled in the future — and the History tab, which shows all past events and completed visits. It's like a medical record and calendar in one, always up to date.
This works beautifully if you have multiple pets. You can instantly switch between profiles, each with their own completely separate history and upcoming events.
💰 Pet Expense Tracking
Anyone with a pet knows that the costs add up — vet visits, medications, grooming, food, accessories. CarePal Pets lets you log the cost of each event directly when you create it. At the end of the month you can open the Expenses view and see exactly how much you spent, broken down by month. It's the simplest way to keep your pet care budget under control without any spreadsheets or manual calculations.
☁️ Cloud Sync & Data Recovery
Your pet's data is too important to lose. CarePal Pets syncs everything securely via Firebase cloud storage. If you ever change phones, reinstall the app, or clear your device — just use your recovery code from the menu and all your data comes back instantly. Every event, every expense, every pet profile — exactly as you left it.
📋 Upcoming Events & Full History
The Upcoming tab gives you a clean view of everything scheduled in the future for each pet. The History tab keeps a complete record of every past event. Marking an event as completed is just one tap, and it moves neatly into the history.
